About

Welcome, beautiful soul

Meraki is a Greek word that means pouring your heart and soul into everything you do. That's the heart of this sanctuary.

The black heart stone in our logo honours my great-great-grandmother Anna Marie, who owned a hot stone and sulfur spa. That same healing energy is what I've carried into Meraki.

I created this calm, safe space so that everyone feels welcome exactly as they are — no judgment, no pressure. I offer Thai Yoga Massage, relaxing Thai Oil Massage and Soul Sessions, all held with care, intuition and an open heart. My intention is to give you a peaceful place where you can exhale and feel truly seen, heard and supported.

What guides the work

Four quiet principles

Everyone is welcome

This is a calm, safe space where you're welcome exactly as you are — no judgment, no pressure, no version of yourself to perform.

Held with intuition

Every session is offered with care and an open heart, shaped around the day you're actually having rather than a template.

Seen, heard, supported

The intention is simple: a peaceful place where you can exhale and feel truly met — in body and in spirit.

Grounded and professional

Level 2 Certified Traditional Thai Yoga Practitioner, Diploma in Addictions & Community Service Work, fully insured and registered in Ontario.

Lineage

What is tended with lovekeeps growing

From Anna Marie's hot stone and sulfur spa to this little studio on Bay Street, healing has been handed down like a frond unfurling — slowly, patiently, one generation reaching toward the next. Watch it grow; it is never in a hurry, and neither are we.

Questions

Things people ask first

A note from Shannon

— Shannon Scott

How do I get in — I can't see a door on Bay Street?

Enter from the back lane off Machar Ave or Algoma Street. Your parking spot is right at the door, and the door unlocks five minutes before your session. There's no on-street parking or direct Bay Street entrance, so please plan for the alley behind the building.

What happens in a first session?

We talk before anything else — an unhurried check-in about where you are, what hurts and what feels heavy. Whatever follows is shaped around that conversation, never a template.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, loose clothing you can stretch in for Thai yoga massage — it's done fully clothed on a mat. For oil massage, please come freshly showered; you'll be draped throughout.

What if I need to cancel?

We appreciate at least 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations — it lets us respect everyone's time. Please wear comfortable clothing for Thai yoga massage, and come freshly showered for oil massage sessions.

And classes?

Please cancel classes at least 48 hours in advance so someone on the waitlist can take the space. Cancellations inside that window can't be refunded or rescheduled — but if an emergency comes up, reach out directly and we'll find a way through it together.

How do I pay?

Payment is taken at the studio after your session — visa & mastercard, discover, cash. Gift cards can be put toward any session.

Is this a replacement for medical or mental health care?

No. This work sits alongside medical and therapeutic care rather than in place of it, and we'll happily work in step with practitioners you already trust.
