This page is written as a starting point in plain language. Please have it reviewed by a qualified adviser before relying on it.

Meraki, A Soul's Journey to Wellness wants this site and this studio to work for as many people as possible. This page sets out what has been done, what is still to do, and how to tell us when something is in the way.

The website

This site aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. In practice that means readable text sizes and colour contrast, headings and landmarks that screen readers can navigate, descriptive alternative text on images, and a skip link to the main content.

Every interactive part of the site — the menu, the booking form, the accordions and the filters — can be operated with a keyboard alone, focus is always visible, and the main buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall so they are easy to tap.

If you have reduced motion turned on in your device settings, the opening animation, scroll reveals, parallax and the short silent video loops are all switched off; a still image is shown in their place. The loops never carry sound.

The map on the Visit page loads only when you ask for it, and the full street address is always written out beside it so the directions do not depend on the map.

The studio

There is no on-street parking and no direct entrance from Bay Street itself.

Come in through the quiet back lane off Machar Ave or Algoma Street — the alley entrance. Our signage on the door will guide you to the back.

One dedicated parking spot is saved for you, right in front of the door.

The door is unlocked five minutes before your session — no rushing, no waiting outside.

The studio is quiet, adults only, and LGBTQIA friendly. Scent, lighting, music and pressure can all be adjusted — please just ask.

Known limitations

Some third-party pages linked from this site, such as the Vagaro booking system, the Google map, and social media profiles, are outside our control and may not meet the same standard. If Vagaro is hard for you to use, email or phone and the booking will be made for you.

This is a one-person practice, so improvements are made steadily rather than all at once.

Telling us about a barrier

If something on this site or at the studio is hard to use, please say so — it will be taken seriously and fixed where it can be. Email meraki.asoulsjourney@gmail.com, call (807) 252-7021, or write to 283 Bay Street, Thunder Bay, ON P7B 1R7.

Feedback is answered within a few business days, and an alternative way to book or get the information you need will always be offered.
