The morning ten minutes that reshape a day

Most practices fail not because they are wrong, but because they are too large to survive an ordinary week. Ten minutes, kept gently, will outlast an hour kept harshly.

Begin seated, somewhere the light reaches. Let the first minutes be unremarkable — the breath arriving, the shoulders lowering, the mind wandering and returning without comment.

What changes is not the ten minutes. It is the hours that follow them: a slower reaction, a longer pause before answering, a body that remembers it is allowed to rest.
